Patchwork with mom
Patchwork was a gift to the folks, or really mostly my mother as she is the quilter. This was several years ago, and apparently they tried to play it once but gave up. I’m always up to try something I haven’t played, so I set it up, read through the rules more or less, and played a game of it with my mom.
As is typical with me with learning games, I didn’t get all the rules right, but we course corrected during play. She got the 7x7 chip, which helped put her over for the win at 43 to my 41 points.
The main thing we got wrong was that we didn’t use the neutral token to limit which pieces we could purchase. We’ll use it the next time.
